This session, the only (mildly) technical one during our two days together, introduces photography as a means of creative problem solving and in-the-moment decision-making. Photographers need to think on their feet. We'll see how technical considerations translate into an emotional response.

In this session, we'll explore some contrarian ideas on composition and see how it can add such dynamism to your photographic expression that a simplified set of rules cannot achieve.

A lot of photography happens outside the camera. You will be introduced to what some great photographers do behind the scenes to achieve their results. Then, we'll get acquainted with the digital workflow process to derive a finished product from the previous day's shoot.
